Eight vintage corvettes were on display in the National Corvette Museum when a sinkhole formed taking eight corvettes down with it. The sinkhole was 40 feet wide and about 25 feet deep. It happened at 5:55 am and the police were there right away. No one was hurt. Much of the western Kentucky region is underlain by karst, limestone that has been eroded to produce springs, sinking streams, caves, and sinkholes.
